It's time for our annual Peek Behind The Curtain member experience and we're pleased to invite you and a friend to peel the curtain back on the magic of theatre! 

This event will be an insider's look into what it takes to create and produce a musical theatre production with Richard Carroll, the director of Ride The Cyclone!, an exciting new production coming direct to us from Hayes Theatre Co. in Sydney. You may remember Richard as the director behind Every Musical Ever and GODSPELL at The Art House. 

Enjoy a panel discussion between Richard and The Art House Executive Director Anne-Marie Heath, along with delicious canapés, nibbles, and live entertainment by our Art House Artist performers. 

Richard Carroll is a director, writer and producer based in Sydney. He has been Co-Artistic Director of Hayes Theatre Co since 2022. Richard directed an acclaimed production of Calamity Jane at Hayes Theatre Co in 2017 starring Virginia Gay, which toured to five cities in 2018-19 including a mainstage season at Belvoir and a 5-week commercial run at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre.  

He won a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Production of an Independent Musical, and was nominated for Best Director of a Musical. His other works includes a 2020 production of Oklahoma! (Black Swan State Theatre Company), Once (Darlinghurst Theatre Company followed by 3 transfer seasons across the country), Monty Pythons Spamalot (Hayes Theatre Co followed by an Australian tour), GODSPELL (Hayes Theatre Co), and Every Musical Ever (The Art House and Adelaide Cabaret Festival).
