The Art House proudly presents its inaugural curated exhibition: The Art House Creatives Collection

Dedicated to showcasing the work of professional visual arts practitioners from the Central Coast and surrounds, six outstanding artists have been selected to feature in this debut exhibition.

  • Luke Gallen captures the natural beauty of sea glass discovered during long walks along the Central Coast’s beaches. His digital prints magnify these treasures to a micro level, evoking a cosmic, galactic aesthetic.

  • Minka Gillian, known for her vibrant three-dimensional textile art, challenges herself by translating her tactile practice into two-dimensional canvas works, offering a fresh perspective on her signature style.

  • Anna-Karina Hermkens moulds ceramic into abstract expressions of the human form. Her “curvy works” series is a sensual and playful exploration of shape and emotion.

  • Jessica Irwin delights with her intricate ink drawings infused with her sharp sense of humour, play and unfiltered honesty. The exhibition includes three never-before-seen original works created exclusively for this collection.

  • Jana McLeod presents a large-scale painting series inspired by an original myth, weaving song, story, and visual art into a richly layered world. Experienced through headphones with gentle narration, the sound score - featuring Jana on guitar and Jen McCrea on Cello — creates a deeply immersive, multisensory journey.
  • Melinda Retford draws on her Celtic heritage in creating evocative sculptures that explore the profound connection between humanity and the earth, emerging from the emotional and spiritual bonds we share with the natural world.

Spanning a wide range of genres and mediums, the exhibition celebrates the diversity, innovation and depth of local talent.
