Summer@ The Art House Presents
Shadow Puppetry Workshop: Playing with Light
By Little Wing Puppets

Come along and explore the world of shadow puppetry with experienced puppeteer, Jenny Ellis. This hands-on workshop will give children a range of skills to make their own shows and as well as a puppet they can take home.

Participants will imagine and design their own unique puppet characters, then they’re guided through the process of making their puppets and bringing them to life.

Children will work together in small groups to create their own shows. With a few tricks of the trade, they will finish with a performance of their own stories on a real shadow puppet stage.

Workshop will be run on The Art House Theatre main stage and is recommended for children aged 4-12. Children under 6 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the workshop.

Limited to 20 participants per workshop

This workshop is part of the Workshop + Show Package and is only available to kids. Parents and guardians do not require a Workshop + Show Package ticket but do require a ticket to Spike The Echidna. Click here to book the show.

Come early or stay late for a fun and FREE outdoor physical performance WAVERIDER full of acrobatic surf moves on a giant wave! Multiple sessions Tue 20 - Sat 24 January. Click here to book.
