Pi Williams: Series
Central Coast artist Pi Williams shares a collection of her recent series exploring surrounding coastal environment through yarn and fabrics.
Pi Williams has a background in Fine Arts and has worked across a variety of disciplines including watercolour, printmaking and acrylics. She now prefers to create pieces using yarn & wool (sometimes adding to the uniqueness by dyeing her own wool) with accompanying fabrics such as tulle, leather & raffia and is largely self-taught in this medium.
Pi was a top 30 finalist for three years running in the Bluethumb Art Prize from 2020 to 2022 and in the Art to Art Unearth Art Prize in 2022. Her work has been featured on Better Homes and Gardens, Peppermint and Swell magazine, sharing her practice with wider audiences. She is passionate about sharing her love of creating with wool in her intimate in-person and online workshops, teaching students in Australia and around the world. Her artworks have been collected by art lovers across the globe.
