The Art House

The Art House is the centre of arts on the Central Coast. Since opening in 2016, it has become a venue of national significance and was awarded Performing Arts Centre of the Year in 2022, whilst also providing a state-of-the-art performance space for the local community.

As a professional theatre, The Art House presents national and internationally renowned artists so local audiences no longer need to travel to metro venues. Performers have included Anh Do, Amy Shark, Tommy Little, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Human Nature, Opera Australia, Sydney Dance Company and more.

The Art House not only presents work but actively supports the development of new work through its professional development opportunities for artists and creatives of the area. It strives to promote creativity, originality, and inclusivity and become the Central Coast's home for performers, creators and anyone who enjoys the experience of great performing arts.

The venue consists of a 500-seat theatre, 130-seat studio, a foyer exhibition space, meeting facilities, and a Café/Bar and is managed by an independent not-for-profit entity with an independent board of directors.
