Sydney Dance Company Workshop 2026

Led by Sydney Dance Company Teaching Artists, this workshop invites participants to experience Sydney Dance Company’s exciting repertoire for themselves. 

Who can attend: 10-16 year olds - some prior experience beginner/intermediate skill level.

Participants begin with a contemporary technique warm-up before learning an excerpt of Sydney Dance Company repertoire drawn directly from the performance of Engine. They are then guided through a compositional task used in the creation of the work, providing them with an understanding of how the choreography comes to life.

The contemporary workshop concludes with a Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to discuss artistic practice, training pathways, and insights into the contemporary dance industry.
