Point of View is an exhibition by five local artists who work in different mediums with different approaches yet are connected by Chittaway
Point and the annual art@work Festival of Creativity - which is a highlight of the Central Coast art calendar.
This exhibition showcases their work and includes a special feature on the highs and lows of 2020.
“I enjoy the artistic freedom painting gives me to portray emotions, colour and design and many of my inspirations are organic in nature. I like to
intersperse watercolour techniques with acrylic paints to allow spaces and shapes to emerge and play with our emotions.”
“With a background in ticket writing, detail is a major element of my work and I like to explore texture and mediums. Having lived on Chittaway Point
for 40 years my love for nature shines through - spiked with humour and quirkiness.”
“My inspiration is the natural world and I experiment with materials, textures and colour. I encourage my audience to be courageous, to question
and to dream.”
“Much of my work reflects my experiences and passion about issues of injustice – particularly with respect to restrictive social expectations placed
on women. I work with a variety of materials, often in non ‘traditional’ and unexpected ways.”
“In my short time on the Central Coast, I have been greatly moved by the scenic beauty of the great lakes, particularly Tuggerah and Budgewoi.
Many of my paintings and photographs have been inspired by this beauty.”
